Brussels, Oct 2 2008-Media Advisory-The Club of Madrid invites members of the media to a press conference marking the opening of the African Women’s Political Leadership Conference — a gathering of 150 political leaders, practitioners and activists from across Africa and the European Union, designed to address the main challenges to women’s political participation and to share lessons for the development of strategies towards closing the gender gap in politics in Sub-Saharan Africa. The press conference will be held next Wednesday Oct 8 at 10’30 a.m. in Brussels’ Palais d’Egmont, Place du Petit Sablon, 8.
