Rosemary Kaduru
African Women Leaders Project Coordinator, Club of Madrid
Rosemary Kaduru joined Club Of Madrid as Coordinator of the
AWLP in April 2007. She previously worked with Oxfam GB in a
number of countries, including Kenya, Uganda, Liberia and Nigeria,
managing both development and humanitarian programmes. She
has been involved in promoting women leaders and other vulnerable
groups for many years. She worked with the Netherlands
Development Organisation (SNV) in Uganda for 5 years promoting
and strengthening Civil Society organisations at local and national
levels. She is a graduate of Law from the University of Nairobi and
the Kenya School of Law. She studied at the University of Wales,
Centre for Development Studies at Swansea in the UK.

Olatz Cacho
Program Assistant, Club of Madrid
Olatz Cacho is currently Program Assistant at the Club of Madrid,
where she has been responsible for a variety of tasks including the
implementation of a survey mission to Mauritania, managing press
during the Club of Madrid’s Fourth General Assembly and
collaborating in the organisation of other CoM projects. From 2001-
2005 Olatz Cacho worked for the International Secretariat of
Amnesty International in various capacities, with a regional focus on
Haiti, Cuba, Belize, Suriname, and the Dominican Republic. Prior to
2001, she worked in the private sector as marketing manager. She
holds a BA in journalism from the University of Navarra, Spain.

Sara de la Peña
Program Assistant, Club of Madrid
Sara de la Peña has worked at the Club of Madrid since 2004, first as a content designer for the International Summit of Democracy, Terrorism and Security held in March 2005, and then with the Programs Department on several Club of Madrid activities and projects, with a focus on gender and women’s political participation initiatives, such as the African Women Leaders Project. Ms. de la Peña previously worked at the European Commission’s Cooperation Office – EuropeAid, where she undertook a research about the mainstreaming of gender perspective into the policies and programs of the European Commission, as well as in two development NGOs in Spain in their projects divisions. She holds a BSc in Politics and a MA in Development and International Aid, both from the University Complutense of Madrid. She also holds several diplomas related with international relations (Sciences-Po), gender and development and development cooperation.

Campaign for Good Governance (CGG), Sierra Leone


    
Bernadette French
AWLP Project Officer, Campaign for Good Governance
Mrs. French is currently a programme officer for the Campaign for Good Governance, Sierra Leone. She was formerly a teacher after studying education at the Milton Margai College of Education. She then proceeded to the Fourah Bay College to earn a B.A. with honors in Linguistics. Mrs. French is also a fellow of the International Institute of Transitional Justice (ICTJ). She worked as a volunteer on the Farewell to Small Arms programme in 1999, after the January 6th rebel invasion of Freetown. She has worked as a training coordinator in the capacity-building project for Human Rights Civil Society organization under the EIDHR (EU) Initiative, a two year project funded by the EU.
